Writing Submission Rules

How do I submit my work to Urhalpool?

Email your writings to submission@urhalpool.com. Include a biography of yourself if possible. Photographs are welcome. Writings can be attached to the email or pasted in the email body. Note that Urhalpool is not responsible for checking the authenticity of a submitted writing. If you plagiarize, most probably you will get caught and be banned.

What file types can I submit?

Please submit files in one of the following formats only:
Word document files (.doc/.docx), BanglaWord doc files (.bwd)

Please note that submissions are limited to 4 poems (1 file), and 2 articles, and two stories.
Please include all writer contact info on the first page of the submitted file.

What kind of work is Urhalpool looking for?

We examine all work received and accept that which seems best. We will let you know our decision within 2 weeks from the day of receipt.

Does Urhalpool accept previously published material?

No. We cannot consider anything that has been previously published or accepted for publication, anywhere, in any form. Work that has appeared online is considered to have been previously published and should not be submitted. We do not consider simultaneous submissions.

Does Urhalpool pay money?

Depends and is decided on a case by case basis. 

Who holds the rights of the submitted material?

After publication (in both web and printed), all rights will revert to the author upon publication. However, Urhalpool will try to translate your work in Bengali and/or English in order to spread your work throughout India, Australia, Middle East, Bangladesh besides the USA & UK.

When can I submit my work?

We accept submissions year round. We ask that you do not make multiple submissions: please wait for a response to your submission before sending new work.
